Housekeeping (2 On-Call positions)

SALARY: $17.28 per hour
REPORTS TO: Store Manager
LOCATION: Inchelium, WA
Performs housekeeping duties in a customer service friendly, efficient, and profitable manner that promotes superior staff, customer, and vendor relations.
 
Essential Functions:
•    Cleans and sanitizes all assigned areas in accordance with company policies and County, State and Federal health requirements.
•    Ensures all cabins, restrooms, shower rooms, and laundry facilities are clean and presentable as scheduled.
•    Cleans lobby, lounge, furniture, walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, door panels, sills, corridors, stairways, floors, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
•    Ensure the exterior of the building, including the parking lot, is free from trash.
•    Maintains cleaning supplies; stocks and secures all storerooms; informs supervisor of needed inventory.
•    Operates cleaning equipment, such as high-lift, pressure-washer, and floor-cleaner. 
•    Removes all trash daily, transports trash and waste to disposal area.
•    Observes guests’ privacy and performs duties in a manner which will cause the least amount of disturbance to guests.
•    Records and reports any maintenance problems.
•    Provides customer service in a professional manner; assists customers and responds to questions and requests in a pleasant, timely and helpful manner.
•    Adheres to all established safety standards, ensuring compliance with company safety policies and procedures, TOSHA, and OSHA regulations.
•    Uses all required safety precautions, including use of personal protection equipment (PPE).
•    Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
 

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (Minimum Qualifications):
•    High School Diploma or GED.
•    Housekeeping experience preferred.
•    Must have good teamwork and communication skills.
•    Ability to work with minimal supervision.
•    Knowledge of biohazard clean up and disposal, and MSDS and OSHA requirements.
•    Working knowledge of operation and maintenance of cleaning equipment, including floor care equipment.
•    Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
 
Physical Demands / Work Environment:
•    Manual and finger dexterity as required to perform daily job duties.
•    Ability to frequently walk and/or stand for prolonged periods of time.
•    Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
•    Ability to frequently bend, squat and/or stoop.
•    Ability to frequently reach, climb and/or crawl.
•    Frequently works near or around electricity.
•    Frequently exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals.
•    Frequently exposed to smoke, fumes, or airborne particles.
•    Frequently exposed to outside weather conditions, including variations in temperature and precipitation.
