Distinguishing Career Factors:
This is the first position in the banded series. This is an entry-level position within the Marketing Department that is primarily used to provide the Communications Coordinator II with support in the execution of Communication initiatives. Incumbents who wish to promote to the second and final step of the banded series may be exposed to on-the-job training to learn to analyze the data to provide recommended changes.
Summary:
The Communications Coordinator I is responsible for the awareness and coordination of planned media traffic advertisements and their event details, assist with copywriting, assists of creative management and deadlines, and the printing/distribution of communications. The Communications Coordinator I must have exceptional writing and creative design skills. The Communications Coordinator I must work well under pressure and have a keen eye for detail. Must have the ability to multi-task and manage projects effectively. The Communications Coordinator I must be creative, motivated, and be able to move through projects quickly without prompt. Will assist with the execution of a successful, full-scale communications budget for 12 Tribes Colville Casinos.
Essential Functions:
- Practices common marketing, advertising and branding best practices.
- Takes the initiative to learn about how to analyze data to make informed decisions.
- Works closely with Communications Coordinator II so that projects are completed on time and within acceptable standards.
- Responsible for assisting in the maintenance of updates on the primary website and maintaining content for the news section.
- Responsible for assisting in the maintenance of email accuracy that is free of errors, working links, and the content connects to the website.
- Responsible for maintaining assets and ensuring they reach the end-user on-time.
- Responsible for content generation and traffic for organic social media.
- Responsible to manage an effective advertising-based video on demand strategy basis for social media channels.
- Responsible for the charity and sponsorship donation process.
- Adhere to the company’s brand identity in all channels; logo, imagery, fonts, and color.
- Facilitate the resolution of disputes with external role-players on all necessary platforms.
- Will be the connecting party between guests and the executive team to solve customer service issues.
- Read, respond, and encourage positive reviews on various review-based websites (TripAdvisor, Yelp, Facebook, Google , etc.) in a timely manner.
- Ability to analyze basic results in present reputation management to key-role players.
- Utilizes analytics tools to assess trends and activity for organic social media.
- Maintain all marketing storage/work areas as well as log, update, and report on all marketing/promotions inventory. Will also oversee the usage/maintenance of marketing, equipment, and supplies.
- Schedules video content on all video monitors.
- Expedites purchasing, storing, distribution of marketing materials, and reconciling invoices while tracking the marketing products budget.
- Routinely audit marketing platforms such as: website, social, marketing collateral, digital signage etc. to ensure all posted copies are accurate, up to date, and contains relevant material.
- May attend meetings as a representative of the marketing department, will be responsible for taking of the meeting notes and distributing it to team members.
- Provides a high standard of professionalism and guest service.
- Performs other duties or special projects as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (Minimum Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Associates degree in Business, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a closely related field and two (2) years of marketing, public relations, interactive marketing, web design and/or interactive advertising; OR a combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to fulfill the essential functions of the position is required.
- Experience with Web CRM Systems preferred.
- Must have excellent PC skills and advanced working knowledge of current Microsoft Applications.
- Position requires customer service skills, and the ability to provide comments, posts, and reviews on-demand for our social media platforms. availability after hours is required which includes flexible scheduling of hours, overtime, nights and weekends, holidays, special events and promotions.
