We are excited to offer a new opportunity as a Speech Language Pathologist at Colville Health and Rehabilitation. This is an inhouse therapy program where we are striving to improve our resident's lives. We are looking to fill this position to expand our operation into outpatient therapy as well as new programs within our facility. We are open to PRN applicants at this time. Position Summary :
A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will evaluate and treat residents / patients with temporary or long-term speech, hearing, swallowing, and cognitive disabilities in compliance with state and federal guidelines. They will evaluate the resident's / patient's speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, swallowing, and fluency and develop treatment plans. They will treat the residents / patients based on a physician's treatment plan.
Essential Functions
- Screens and evaluates patients / residents and develops appropriate care plan.
- Under a physician's direction, provides direct patient / resident treatment based on established plan of care.
- Plans, directs, or conducts rehabilitative treatment programs to restore communicative efficiency of individuals with communication and / or swallowing or cognitive problems.
- Administers, scores, and interprets specialized hearing and speech tests.
- Instructs residents / patients, families, and caregivers to monitor speech and provide ways to practice new skills.
- Completes required forms and clinical records in accordance with company policy and state and / or federal regulations.
- Documents in patient records in an accurate and timely manner.
- Devises special tools and treatments for the specific needs of patients.
- Provides comprehensive and compassionate therapy services in a sub-acute / skilled nursing facility setting.
- Works collaboratively with other rehab therapists and nursing staff in a supportive team-working environment.
- Maintains resident / patient privacy pursuant to HIPAA.
- Ensures punctuality and regular attendance for assigned shifts.

Qualifications
Education :
Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology required.
Licenses / Certification :
Current license in Speech Language Therapy as required by state law.
Valid CPR certification required.
Experience :
Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred.

40k - $62k Based on experience
Salary : $40,000 - $62,000
