About the Role: As an AP/AR Technician, you will focus primarily on Accounts Receivable, ensuring smooth billing, accurate reporting, and effective customer interactions. While you will also support Accounts Payable, this role places a stronger emphasis on AR, so we’re looking for someone with a passion for collections, invoicing, and customer relationship management.

As an AP/AR Technician, you will:

• Safety First: Always prioritize safety in every task. Follow safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and your teammates.
• Handle Accounts Receivable: Maintain up-to-date billing systems, post batches, and generate statements for customers. You’ll track aging reports and manage collections efficiently.
• Accounts Payable Duties: While AR is the focus, you'll also review invoices for accuracy, ensure timely payments, and manage vendor inquiries.
• Reconcile Accounts: Resolve discrepancies between accounts receivable and payable ledgers, providing reports and insights to management.
• Maintain employee travel schedules: purchase airline tickets and notify camp billeting personnel of employee schedules and changes. 
• Customer/Vendor Relations: Communicate with customers and vendors to resolve payment inquiries and discrepancies.
• Support Month-End Closing: Assist in month-end processes and audit preparations.
• General Office Duties: Handle routine office tasks such as filing, answering phones, and general administrative work.

What We’re Looking For:

• Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED; accounting experience can substitute for education
• At least 3 years of general accounting experience with a strong emphasis in AR
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• 10-key typing experience (2 years)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
• Ability to work with office hardware and software
• Preferred:
• 3 years of experience in accounting or finance
• Familiarity with Sage or NetSuite ERP systems
• Experience in oil, gas, mining, or similar industries is a plus
• Knowledge of North Slope-based operations and multi-division business approaches
