About the Role:
As Director of Health & Wellness, you will be responsible for overseeing the return-to-work processes, managing workers' compensation cases, and providing healthcare recommendations to enhance the well-being of our employees. You’ll manage our self-insured medical plan and offer telemedicine services for easy access to care. You will also attend Well Health & Captive workshops, meetings, and conferences related to the role.
Key Responsibilities:
Return-to-Work and Workers' Compensation:
- Manage employees’ medical conditions for safe and timely return to work.
- Collaborate with physicians, safety and HR to ensure compliance with policies.
- Communicate treatment plans and recovery expectations effectively.
Self-Insured Medical Plan Management:
- Oversee and manage the self-insured medical plan for cost-effective healthcare.
- Analyze claims data, optimize plan performance, and recommend improvements.
- Serve as a liaison between the company and healthcare providers.
Employee Health and Wellness Program:
- Design and implement wellness programs to promote healthy lifestyles.
- Provide health education, guidance, and leadership to management, employees and families.
Telemedicine Services:
- Provide virtual medical consultations for employees’ health concerns.
- Ensure employees have access to preventive care and medical advice.
What We’re Looking For:
• Qualifications: Minimum bachelor’s degree in clinical health services (NP, PA, APRN).
• Certifications: Must be licensed in the appropriate healthcare field.
• Skills: Strong knowledge of workers' compensation, self-insured plans, and wellness programs.
Travel As Needed
Additional: At least 10 years of experience in a similar setting, with excellent communication skills.
