As a Solid Waste Processor, You Will:
• Safety First, always: In this role, safety is non-negotiable. You’ll work with heavy equipment, and solid waste materials to process dumpsters. Your job is to keep yourself and your team safe while handling all aspects of waste management.
• Waste Processing Like a Pro: Sort and process waste materials — everything from food waste to construction debris. You’ll make sure everything is disposed of properly, in line with environmental standards.
• Operate Heavy Equipment: Including compactors trucks, loaders, mini excavator, zoom boom, and dumpsters, you’ll be running the show. Daily equipment inspection and troubleshooting are also part of the job.
• Night Shift Mastery: This job’s all about night shifts. You’ll handle waste operations during non-daylight hours, ensuring everything gets processed quickly, safely, and without fail to prepare operations for the next day.
• Documentation & Compliance: You’ll keep thorough, accurate records of waste disposal activities, and track waste quantities to stay fully compliant with environmental regulations.
What We’re Looking For:
• Qualifications: A high school diploma or GED is required. Experience in waste management or environmental services is a major plus — but if you’ve got a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn, we want to hear from you.
• Certifications: A valid driver’s license is a must. If you have certifications in hazardous materials handling, waste processing, or safety, even better.
• Skills: You’ll need to operate heavy machinery, pay attention to the smallest details, and work effectively with a diverse, high-energy team.
• Additional Traits: You’re not afraid to work long hours in extreme cold, lift heavy objects, and stay laser-focused in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Previous OSHA experience is a plus, but not required.
