About the Role:
As a Safety Manager at Colville, Inc., you’ll play a key role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees and the integrity of our operations. This position actively fosters a positive safety culture by promoting participation and encouraging open communication around safety issues. You’ll work alongside our operations team to ensure compliance with safety regulations and implement ongoing training initiatives. As a Safety Manager, you will:
• Safety First: Participate in daily toolbox meetings, conduct safety training, and ensure all practices comply with state, federal, and Colville safety standards.
• Drive Compliance: Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and maintain up-to-date driver and training records.
• Problem Solver: Investigate safety incidents, identify root causes, and suggest improvements to prevent future issues.
• Collaborate Across Teams: Work with operations, HR, and management to develop and refine safety processes and ensure a seamless safety program.
What We’re Looking For:
• Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (or equivalent experience) with 5-7 years of HSE experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Certifications: Designated Employee Representative Training and experience managing DOT & Non-DOT D&A Pools.
• Skills: Proficiency with EHS software, strong written and verbal communication, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Additional: Valid Alaska driver’s license and an acceptable driving record for the last five years.
