In the Americas, Robeco has its headquarters in New York and manages EUR 11bln in assets under management with focus on three business lines: Latam Institutional, US and Canada Institutional and US Offshore.

Position & Requirements

Robeco is seeking to recruit a Sales Account Manager who will have a dual role of i) growing and establishing a best in practice GFI (*) franchise within the US and ii) helping our third-party distributors on building and growing Robeco’s client base and assets in the US Offshore and Latam (US Offshore, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru and Brazil) territories. This is a strategically important growth market for Robeco and the individual will help to accelerate Robeco’ s commercial growth.

Position Summary

Key Responsibilities in coordination with Head of Business Management and Global Head of GFI:

  • The individual will assume responsibility for the business development and client management for GFI clients and GFI prospects that operate in US and Canada.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in marketing, product, client services , sustainable and operations teams globally to identify new business opportunities, including growth areas, trends, partnerships, products and services, with third party distributors and GFIs.
  • Define and execute Robeco Marketing and Sponsorship Activity, PM and CPM visits to the region and participate on conferences promoting Robeco brand and products.
  • Ensure all service and operational elements of Robeco’ s business are operating efficiently and effectively and are meeting GFIs and Third party distributors service expectations.
  • Together with Compliance ensure efficient implementation of the Robeco AML policy in the region and collaborate with the KYC Center in the successful resolution of the CDD processes.
  • Support Business Manager to define and execute the business plan, marketing strategy and sales goals for this business line.
  • Work in close partnership with investment teams to position Robeco’s offerings effectively in the marketplace and clients in scope.
  • Responsible for monitoring the Client Tiering to ensure alignment with Robeco strategy and interests, define and execute account plans in alignment with GFI global strategy.
  • Serve as an ambassador for the firm and be viewed by clients and third party sales managers as a senior-level firm representative.

The Candidate Ideal Experience

  • 10years of experience out of which 5-8 years of experience in managing GFIs and/or US Offshore and Latam clients.
  • A strong understanding of the evolving dynamics in the US and Latam marketplace, including the needs of clients within different channels (Wholesale and Institutional).
  • Ability to quickly understand and articulate Robeco’s investment strategy, differentiating factors, and competitive advantage.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented sales environment in which sharing information and collaboration is essential for success.
  • A positive, collegial attitude and high level of professionalism.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to multi-task
  • Availability to travel

Education and Credentials

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • MBA or equivalent
  • Series 7 and 63 certification
