What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inspector position at Comal Services?
We are currently looking for a Mechanical Integrity Inspector to join our team. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Completing external visual, internal and UT inspections per API codes.
- Completing QA/QC of inspection reports.
- Complete Mechanical Integrity inspections.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:
- API 510 Certification required.
- Minimum of 3 years of industry experience in process plant inspection and technical support is required.
- Technical knowledge and practical working experience in time and conditioned-based inspection processes, non-destructive testing (NDT) method selection, and piping and vessel defect assessment and repair.
- API certifications such as API 1169 (Pipeline Construction), API 510 (Pressure Vessel Inspection), API 570 (Piping Inspection), and API 653 (Tank Inspection).
- Experience in performing detailed root cause analysis (RCA) and failure analysis.
- Working knowledge of corrosion issues, damage mechanisms and corrosion phenomena occurring in equipment and piping in mid-stream operating environments.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 60 – 70 per week
