The hospital will train and employ candidates in a new program designed at Comanche County Memorial Hospital. Earn while you learn to become an Advanced Unlicensed Assistant.
Classes will be held in-person at Comanche County Memorial Hospital and students will receive pay while attending classes! The program will be approximately 60 days in length and once complete, successful candidates will be eligible to test with the Oklahoma Board of Nursing. Once licensed you are committed to work for the hospital for 1 year in an AUA role or repay the cost of your educational expenses. Orientation is March 25, 2025. Classes begin March 31, 2025 and conclude May 30, 2025.
If interested please submit your application for consideration. You must be available to attend classes Monday through Friday for the duration of the program. Interviews will be scheduled starting February 3, 2025 and conclude on March 7, 2025. If you are selected you will go through the employee onboarding process and attend CCMH Hospital Orientation prior to the scheduled class start date. After successful completion of the program, graduates will then be placed into a department with vacancies within Comanche County Memorial Hospital. Advanced Unlicensed Assistants work 12 hour shifts which include weekends and holidays.
DEFINITION: Under direct supervision of an RN, will utilize medical and technical skills to provide patient care. Assists patients with daily living activities, provide primary nursing care to patients, and assists in maintaining a safe and clean environment for all age groups. Collects data and reports any unexpected findings to the charge nurse.
EDUCATION: Highschool diploma or Equivalent
REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS (IF APPLICABLE):
Current Basic Life support
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: None
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Current Oklahoma AUA License. Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire.
