- Investigates, apprehends, arrests, and detains under the authority of Title 25 (FR Criminal Statutes, Tribal, State, and Federal statutes.
- Coordinates assigned activities with other divisions, departments, and outside agencies; and provides highly responsible and complex administrative support to higher ranks assigned.
- Prepares reports based upon observations, information, and occurrences, interviews witnesses, and obtains signatures as needed.
- Responsible for the rules of evidence regarding search and seizure and the preservation of evidence.
- Provides escort for currency between CNE properties.
- Ensures safety practices with all work-related equipment, including the safe and proper care of firearms, chemical agents, and impact weapons.
- Possesses the understanding of techniques for communication and solving problems presented by a variety of individuals from various economic backgrounds, in person, and over the telephone, often when relations may be confrontational or stressed.
- Operates the equipment, weapons, and less lethal tools of the department safely and responsibly.
- Operates a motor vehicle in a safe manner under patrol and emergencies.
- Must be able to operate and use specialized law enforcement tools and equipment including guns and handcuffs.
- Must be able to verbally communicate and exchange information.
- Attends and satisfactorily completes all training as assigned by management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, including a home school certificate.
- Must possess a basic police academy (State and/or Indian Police Academy).
- Must be CLEET certified.
- Possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Must complete a CPR and First Aid Certification.
- Ability to pass SF-78 Medical and the MMPI/CPI Mental Health Evaluations.
- Successfully pass a background check.
- Able to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
- AS or BS degree in Police Science or a related career field.
