POSITION SUMMARY: The Lead Technician is a full-time employee that provides lawn mowing service through the Grasshopper Program season. The Lead Technician will be responsible for providing lawn mowing services to applicable Comanche Nation Tribal Members in the program service area. Work schedule will be subject to change based on inclement weather or unfavorable weather conditions. During winter months, the tech will perform yard clean up, tree pruning and hauling off debris.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Mow lawns using push and/or riding lawn mowers.
- Trim and edge around sidewalks, flowerbeds and walls utilizing a weed eater.
- Perform general grounds keeping duties.
- Provide routine maintenance on lawn mowing equipment.
- Cut down tree limbs and remove brush that may impede job related responsibilities.
- Utilizes safety equipment efficiently and properly.
- Unload/load equipment, material, clean out truck/trailer by removing trash and debris on a daily basis.
- Wash dirty equipment, including all mower decks, and return to storage location.
- Report damaged or broken equipment immediately.
- Submits daily reports of work completed and all pertinent information as requested by Supervisor.
- Secures all equipment safely.
- Completes daily inventory of all materials used.
- Expected to report to work on time to ensure program success.
- Required to treat Comanche Nation Elders (clients) in a respectful and professional manner.
- Other duties as assigned.
REPORTS TO: Reports to the Grasshopper Program Supervisor. Will supervise assigned Technician Assistant to meet program objectives.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must have the ability to bend, squat, stoop and stand for long intervals to complete job duty. Must be able to lift up to 30lbs. or more consistently throughout the workday.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must be capable to work in extreme heat, extreme humidity and all other weather conditions. Will work outside on personal property in varying cities and rural communities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must possess a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must possess six (6) months’ work experience in groundskeeping, lawn maintenance, or related field.
- Must have valid Oklahoma driver's license.
- Must be willing to submit to and pass a drug test and criminal background investigation.

Salary : $15
