SCOPE OF POSITION:
The Director of Security is responsible for providing leadership, oversight, and strategic direction to the security departments across six casino properties. This includes the management of both armed patrolmen and unarmed security officers. The Director ensures all departments are compliant with tribal, state, and federal laws, and are aligned with Comanche Nation Entertainment’s (CNE) mission and organizational goals. This role also serves as the liaison between executive leadership, Comanche Nation Law Enforcement (CNLE), and property-level security management and is accountable for protecting the assets, guests, and employees of CNE.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assures uniform compliance with Tribal, State, and Federal Laws and with applicable regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Provides overall supervision and strategic leadership for all property-level security teams.
- Manages, mentors, and supports Security Managers and their teams across all six properties.
- Overseas operations of armed patrolmen and unarmed officers, ensuring training, performance, and compliance standards are met.
- Develops and enforces security department policies and procedures to ensure consistency and legal compliance.
- Prepares and monitors department budgets for each property’s security team.
- Conducts and oversees internal investigations involving guests and employees.
- Serves as liaison between CNE and local, state, and federal law enforcement for coordinated investigations and enforcement.
- Maintains open communication with executive leadership, Comanche Nation Law Enforcement (CNLE), and department heads.
- Prepares and submits comprehensive reports to the CEO or designated executive leadership.
- Oversees recruitment, onboarding, training, scheduling, and ongoing development of security personnel.
- Ensures consistent application of discipline and promotes accountability within the ranks.
- Maintains accurate inventory of all security-related equipment and systems.
- Stays current on emerging security technologies, procedures, and regulatory changes.
- Must fully support the guest service program and set an example for the CNE term.
- Must perform excellent guest service.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the CEO.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the direct supervision of the Security Departments of CNE.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The Director of Security must be able to communicate effectively, operate standard office equipment, and move throughout all areas of each property. This includes both indoor and outdoor settings, as well as ascending and descending stairs when necessary. The position also requires the ability to observe people and surroundings both near and far, conduct inspections, and respond quickly to incidents. The role may occasionally require standing or walking for extended periods, especially during high-traffic times or special events.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed in a variety of settings, including office areas, casino floors, and outdoor property grounds. The environment can range from quiet to loud, depending on the time of day and business levels. The Director may be exposed to secondhand smoke, loud noises, flashing lights, and stressful situations involving irate guests or employees. This position requires a flexible schedule, including availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. The role also involves managing high-stress situations with professionalism and maintaining a visible presence throughout all six properties.

Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND COMPETENCIES:
- Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Law Enforcement, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressive leadership experience in security operations within the casino or gaming industry.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills, including team development and discipline.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including report writing and investigations.
- Strong decision-making skills in high-pressure and emergency situations.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion in handling confidential matters.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong understanding of tribal, state, and federal laws affecting gaming security operations.
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND COMPETENCIES:
- Master’s degree in Criminal Justice, Public Administration, Emergency Management, or a related discipline.
- Ten (10) or more years of experience in a security leadership role within a casino, gaming, or tribal enterprise.
- Experience managing armed patrol operations, high-risk incident response, and large event security.
- Strong working knowledge of casino regulatory agencies and reporting requirements (e.g., Tribal Gaming Commission, NIGC).
- Experience with budgeting and resource allocation for multi-property security operations.
- Familiarity with advanced surveillance technology and access control systems.
