SCOPE OF POSITION:
The EVS Attendant is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all environmental service areas. The EVS Attendant’s performance is necessary for the casino to reach its full potential in providing a superior entertainment experience for its guests.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following are major duties and are not intended to be all-inclusive or restrictive.
- Abide by and enforce Casino and department policies and procedures.
- Maintains a high level of guest service.
- Assists with cleaning all inside casino offices, bathrooms, and casino floor areas.
- Answers service calls when necessary and assists with deliveries.
- Strips, wax, vacuum and shampoo floors and/or carpets; maintains outside grounds.
- Paints, builds and reconstructs to the building when necessary.
PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
The EVS Attendant regularly communicates and exchanges information with coworkers and guests. The EVS Attendant is required to move items weighing up to 50 lbs frequently. The EVS Attendant will be required to ascend/descend from raised objects and position oneself to perform different functions. The EVS Attendant must remain stationary for 50 percent of the time. Depending on the weather, the EVS Attendant may also be exposed to extreme cold, typically temperatures below 32 degrees, for periods of more than one hour. The EVS Attendant may be exposed to excessive heat, typically temperatures above 100 degrees, for more than an hour.
Work is performed throughout all areas of the facility where there may be flashing lights, and the noise levels vary depending on the time of day, the specific location, and the amount of business. The EVS Attendant must be able and willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays in a smoke-filled environment. The workplace is also under constant surveillance both inside and outside the facility
The EVS Attendant may be exposed to the risks associated with attempting to resolve contentious issues with difficult guests and staff members.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Must have a stable employment history. Must be able to report for duty as scheduled consistently.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
