- Perform all duties of an Operator A, Line Service and General Laborer
- Operator assigned equipment which may include automatic and semi-automatic equipment such as fillers, pluggers, cappers cartoners, case sealers, wrappers, Sea-Bond processing machines, baggers, rotary die equipment, labelers and related equipment
- Responsible for safe and effective performance of the equipment being operated to assure acceptable quality products
- Prepare and maintain production records, including Daily Line Performance report, Batch Packaging Record, assigned records of material usage, process control sheets, logs, GMP records and other records/documents as assigned
- Line assignments to General Laborers and direct Line Service regarding supplies for set-up of assigned line
- Assist the Supervisors in training of new employees and in guiding packaging personnel in effective line performance
- Utilize effective problem-solving techniques and develop assigned personnel into a team
- Direct and assist in clean-up procedures
- Utilize ERP when appropriate functions are necessary such as: moving, issues, put-backs and production reporting
- Utilize the intercom/phone system
- Complete pre-shift paperwork
- Ability to work overtime
- Perform other duties as assigned
- May be required, after training, to dispose of hazardous/special waste
- Follow established Quality systems and policies

- Ability to work with both hands and arms (shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand)
- Constant stretching, reaching, stooping, and bending
- Ability to lift 15-20 lbs from floor to waist with frequency of 4-5 per hour and 25 lbs with frequency of 10-15 per hour
- Standing up to a total of 10 hrs per day, including a maximum of 3 hr increments (before a break)
- Ability to do repetitive tasks with both hands and arms at a frequency of up to 60 times per minute.
- Ability to work in all areas of the plant
- Ability to direct employees assigned to line, including position rotation
- Basic mathematical skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to maintain a professional and courteous relationship when working with others in the organization
- Ability to understand and use Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or willingness to learn
- Ability to operate all production lines within the facility
- Legible handwriting
- Ability to document and complete job tasks with accuracy
- High school graduate or equivalent
- 1-2 years leading a team
- 1-2 years Mechanical ability
