What You'll Do:
Responsibilities
As a Scientist at Combe Inc., you'll play a crucial role in developing innovative products that support the Vagisil brand. Your responsibilities will include:
- Formulating rinse-off and leave-on products such as feminine washes, lotions, gels, creams, and wipes.
- Reformulating existing products through cost-benefit analysis to develop optimum prototypes without compromising efficacy and consumer perception.
- Evaluating formula/package compatibility and stability of products to choose the best prototype for launch/re-launch.
- Performing product efficacy testing, stability, and physicochemical characterization following Combe protocols.
- Collaborating cross-functionally with other R&D partners, Technology Transfer, Quality Control, Packaging, and Manufacturing.
- Troubleshooting and solving formulation, stability, performance, and process issues that arise during prototype development and scale-up.
- Understanding both U.S. and global regulation requirements, working closely with the regulatory group to develop and launch OTC drugs and medical devices.
- 3 years of formulation experience in skin care, personal care, and hair care.
- Deep understanding of various categories of raw materials like surfactants, emulsifiers, polymers, and preservatives.
- Experience conducting stability studies, product evaluations, and understanding processing and scale-up.
- Knowledge of OTC regulations and global regulatory compliance.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and verbal) and the ability to work in a team environment.
- BS/M.S. degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical/Biomedical Engineering.
- Formulation experience in personal care products and knowledge of functionality and processing of various chemicals

Salary : $85,000 - $95,000
