JOB SUMMARY
We seek a motivated and experienced organic / analytical chemist to join our Quality Control team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in organic synthesis, identification, and characterization of organic and inorganic compounds.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Work onsite with colleagues within the QC Department
Collaborate with individuals from other departments as needed
Design and execute analytical methods to identify and characterize organic and inorganic compounds
Analyze data derived from these methods
Identify the given compounds
Quantify the purities of the given compounds
Determine which compounds are ready to lease
Assign preferred storage conditions to the given compounds
Re-evaluate purity of inventory material over time
Manage and handle hazardous materials when needed
Occasionally lift boxes / drums weighing approximately 50 pounds
Assist with clean-up of spilled chemicals when needed
QUALIFICATIONS
Detail-oriented individual with a Ph.D. in organic chemistry / medicinal Chemistry
2 years of work experience preferred
Strong skills in organic chemistry and analytical techniques
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, goal-oriented team environment
PAY AND BENEFITS
The starting compensation for this job ranges from $90,000 - $115,200 depending on experience.
We offer company paid healthcare, 5% SEPIRA matching, 10 days of paid vacation, 6 days of sick leave, plus 9 days of paid holidays, subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
