Combine Academy is a Private International Boarding School founded in 2013 by two former professional basketball players. Residing on roughly 45 acres in Lincolnton, NC with roughly 100k square feet of buildings including classrooms, gym space, workout rooms, housing, fields, business development spaces, administrative buildings, and the Combine Cafe, the school is home to roughly 185 high-school and post graduate student athletes, many of which live on campus during the school year.

Job Summary
We are looking for a high energy individual to become our new Merchandise & Sponsorship Coordinator! The Merchandise Coordinator will play a crucial role in developing our new retail operations including sports merchandise across several different sports entertainment companies. Work with celebrity style athletes & brands based out of the fulfillment center located at Combine Academy to manage, order, stock & ship inventory, fulfill online orders, and ultimately start up the new on-campus retail store. This person will be also responsible for e-commerce operations and in-person at events to set up, break down, and work booths, etc. This position involves collaborating with various teams to maintain inventory, provide reporting, and manage merchandise operations from start to finish. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of retail math, inventory control, and point-of-sale (POS) systems. We are looking to grow and for someone to grow with us!
Duties
- Oversee inventory management processes to ensure accurate stock levels and timely replenishment both on campus and at events.
- Utilize retail math to analyze sales trends and make informed decisions regarding product placement and promos.
- Manage cash handling procedures, including operating the cash register and processing transactions efficiently.
- Collaborate with store management to create visually appealing merchandise displays that align with brand standards.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to maintain accurate records and identify discrepancies.
- Train and develop staff on best practices for inventory control, customer service, and store operations.
- Help us open and maintain a clean and organized store environment on Combine Academy campus that enhances the shopping experience.
- Use time aside from events and merchandise management to fundraise, sell naming rights, collect sponsorships, etc.
- Be a dynamic and flexible team member to help operations run smoothly overall.
Qualifications
- Understanding of Microsoft Office and e-commerce platforms.
- Strong knowledge of retail math and inventory control principles.
- Experience with POS systems and cash register operations.
- Familiarity with inventory management practices in a retail setting.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also demonstrating initiative and leadership capabilities.
- Previous experience in store management or training development is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
- Backgrounds in business, marketing, communications, sports management, retail, & fashion merchandising are a plus.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
