What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Technician position at Combined Energy Services?
Ground floor opportunity at Combined Energy Services' Freedom Propane location in Red Hook, NY. We are looking for an HVAC Service Tech to join our growing propane service. This position will provide safe and reliable service to our residential and commercial customers by installing, repairing and maintaining their HVAC systems.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Installation, repair and service of propane systems.
- Inspect, diagnose and repair customer equipment and appliances.
- Perform routine maintenance.
- Perform system safety checks, gas leak tests and complete documentation.
- Educate and assist customers in all manners of the safe operation of their home heating/cooling systems and gas burning appliances.
- Prepare Service Work Order ticket on all service work done.
- Have great customer service skills.
- Maintain a positive attitude.
- Keep a clean service vehicle and ability to conduct a pre-trip and post-trip safety inspection.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with installing, diagnosing & repairing climate conditioning systems
- CDL B with HazMat endorsement
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of service technician experience in the trades (HVAC experience is preferred but not required.)
- Ability to problem solve, make repairs and deliver customer service without supervision.
- Clean and safe driving record.
- Able to pass Background Check.
- Must be available to work overtime when needed.
