The Associate, Volunteer Mobilization & Leadership (VML) will be an integral member of a dynamic team of professionals focused on the exciting work of engaging, mobilizing, and growing volunteer leadership within CJP and across our community. This important role is a key partner in ensuring the critical work of leadership development and learning are successfully happening at CJP. Priorities of this role include: administrative support of multiple volunteer leadership cohort programs, as well as programmatic implementation of one component of CJP’s volunteer recognition program, all while working closely with top volunteer leadership. This role assists with and attends meetings both early morning and evening multiple times in a month.
This Associate, VML will have opportunities to work independently within a strong team dedicated to providing exceptional service to volunteer leadership and staff. They will thrive in a fast-paced environment managing multiple needs across the team with enthusiasm and attention to detail.
Essential Functions:
- Manage coordination and scheduling of meetings with internal and external stakeholders for planning purposes.
- Manage all logistical aspects of leadership cohort programming meetings/sessions, including scheduling, ordering food, and all communication with attendees.
- Systematize and project manage communications to key audiences needing to be shared on a consistent basis.
- Coordinate meeting materials with multiple stakeholders and presenters, including soliciting materials, organizing and consolidating information, and reviewing for accuracy and consistency.
- Maintain and update multiple databases (Maven/Blackbaud and Airtable) to reflect and support volunteer pipeline needs.
- Attend meetings/program sessions with responsibility for attendance, A/V support, speaker coordination and other needs as they arise.
- Interact with CJP senior leadership, Board members, volunteers and cross-functional internal staff in a prompt, courteous, and accurate manner.
- Partner on identifying and acting upon efficiencies across leadership programs, where possible.
- Support volunteer recognition efforts through awards processes and events; specifically, oversee Superstar Award process including managing nominations, internal staff selection meetings, and partnering with Marketing on communications.
- Assist in development efforts of members of the VML team including entering interactions, updating records, and other tasks as requested.
- Support departmental efforts to identify rising CJP leaders ready for leadership engagement
