The Quality Engineer is responsible for performing various quality analysis and steering improvements as directed by the Quality Management. In this position, the individual must maintain a professional appearance and attitude and be able to communicate at all levels of business.
Essential Functions
- Conduct Manufacturing process reviews
- Data mining from the quality and manufacturing computer systems
- Create and Conduct First Article Inspections
- Investigate problems, analyzes quality data, reviews nonconformance for accuracy
- Work closely as a management liaison to production and engineering in regards to RCCA and COPQ
- Review specifications and customer requirements
- Lead investigation activities for Corrective Actions to fix the root cause
- Steer Root Cause and Corrective Action presentations
- Team player to Identify Risk and be part of the Risk Management team
- Process procedures, work instructions and forms, as necessary.
- Attend Internal Auditor’s monthly meeting and conduct Internal Audits, as per the schedule
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Quality, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering is preferred
- 5-10 years of quality or engineering experience is preferred
- Familiar with Quality Management Systems
- Physically capable of inspecting product discoloring
- Demonstrate a positive, proactive, and motivated attitude to work, quality, and safety
- Physically capable of working with hands and maneuvering through a shop environment
- Support overall effectiveness of the business by modeling behaviors consistent with company values
