Job Expectations
We are looking for a qualified IT Technician that will install and maintain computer systems, servers, and networks aiming for the highest level of functionality. You will “train” users of the systems to make appropriate and safe usage of the IT infrastructure. A successful IT Technician must have a comprehensive knowledge of computer software and hardware and a variety of internet applications, networks, and operating systems. This position requires an advanced working knowledge of Windows server operating systems and their various components. The ideal candidate will have great troubleshooting abilities and attention to detail. The goal is to build and maintain updated and efficient computer systems and networks to optimize the role of technology for business sustainability. The job requires the successful candidate to be able to work from home for remote support. The applicant must be self-motivated and be able to manage their time efficiently, without constant oversite. The successful candidate must live in the Tulsa area and will be provided with company transportation.
This is not a training position! The qualified candidate should be at least a tier 2 technician and possess the following skills. There will be a hands-on skills test during the interview process:
Skills
- Windows, Windows Server, Hyper-V Experience required. Must be able to configure from scratch.
- Windows servers – Domain Controller, DNS, DHCP, RDP. RRAS, Print Management, Group policy
- Office 365 Administration – Create users and groups, sharepoint sites, policies, and Entra ID
- Sonicwall Firewall configuration – VLAN’s, forwarding, firewall rules, VPN
- Smart switch and VLAN experience
- Acronis Cyber Protect a plus
- Cisco, Meraki, Aruba, and Ubiquiti experience a plus
- Mac and VMWare experience a plus
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication both written and verbally
- Outstanding organizational and time-management skills
- In depth understanding of diverse computer systems and networks
- Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles
- Real World Experience take precedence over education and certifications
- Must be able to lift up to 30lbs
Responsibilities
- Setup, configure, and maintain Windows Servers. Including AD, DNS, DHCP, Scripts, Print management, RRAS, RDP, Hyper-V, and Group Policy
- Setup workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices (routers, printers etc.)
- Check computer hardware (HDD, mouses, keyboards etc.) to ensure functionality
- Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications
- Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems
- Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment
- Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, debugging etc.)
- Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance schedule
Job Type: Full-time
Starting Salary: $25 to $35 per hour
