Security Guard

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Guard to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and their property. This role requires a proactive approach to security, strong observational skills, and the ability to respond effectively to various situations. The Security Guard will work closely with law enforcement and emergency services when necessary, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor premises through regular patrols and surveillance systems, including CCTV.
• Enforce security policies and procedures to prevent theft, vandalism, and other illegal activities.
• Respond promptly to alarms and emergencies, coordinating with law enforcement as needed.
• Conduct thorough inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify potential security risks.
• Manage conflicts effectively while maintaining a calm demeanor in high-pressure situations.
• Provide first aid and CPR when necessary, ensuring the safety of individuals on-site.
• Document incidents and prepare detailed reports for management review.
• Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying suspicious behavior or activities.

Experience

• Previous experience in law enforcement or military service is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with loss prevention strategies and surveillance techniques is a plus.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable.
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations effectively.
• A valid security guard certificate or license may be required depending on local regulations.

Pay: $20.32 - $21.58 per hour
