This is a full-time, on-site role for a Maintenance Tech to contribute to the maintenance operation for an affordable multifamily apartment community managed by ComCap Management. This role is crucial in ensuring that all equipment and systems are functioning optimally, contributing to a safe and efficient working environment. This role will report to the Property Manager and will be accountable to our Director of Maintenance.

Job Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Maintenance Tech to contribute to the maintenance operation for an affordable multifamily apartment community managed by ComCap Management. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of HVAC systems, electrical systems, and facilities management. This role is crucial in ensuring that all equipment and systems are functioning optimally, contributing to a safe and efficient working environment. This role will report to the Property Manager and will be accountable to our Director of Maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Property Manager and Director of Maintenance to ensure timely completion of all maintenance tasks for the property.
- Complete all tasks associated with making units ready for new tenants.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify issues and implement corrective actions.
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for tracking work orders, inventory, and maintenance schedules.
- Oversee the repair and maintenance of HVAC systems, electrical systems, and other key systems along with all physical facilities and equipment at the property.
- Fabricate parts as needed to support the effective completion of maintenance requests.
- Utilize tools such as Ohmmeters and Voltmeters for troubleshooting electrical issues.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean working environment.
- Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience, ideally at a large apartment community.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical systems, logic controllers, and general building maintenance practices.
- Familiarity with RealPage OneSite software or similar tools for effective management of maintenance tasks.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Ability to fabricate parts or components as necessary for repairs or improvements.
