About the Team

The Network Facility and Energy team operates Comcast’s datacenter environment, sets critical infrastructure standards for the company, has responsibility for the tools roadmap, and plays a lead role in setting Comcast’s Energy strategy as it relates to Comcast’s 2035 Carbon Neutrality goal.

Responsible for participating as a technical expert in project teams, troubleshooting operational issues, providing technical solutions to operational problems, contributing to new product implementation, implementing existing products and services and providing the overall upkeep and maintenance of designated areas of engineering. Interfaces with vendors, Engineering and peer operations organizations. Acts in compliance with industry and Company technical requirements, standards, policies and procedures. Provides technical leadership to junior Engineers and project teams. Integrates knowledge of business and functional priorities. Acts as a key contributor in a complex and crucial environment. Has direct supervisory responsibilities, direct workflow, and act as a technical lead. Lead teams or projects and shares expertise.

Core Responsibilities

• Dynamic leader focused on the Deployment and Operation of Critical Electrical and Mechanical systems to ensure a stable and functioning Critical Infrastructure of the Data Center.

• Plans, Comments, and Improves on existing Physical Data Center Building structures, Land development, and Real Estate actions

• Able to interact with Leaders inside the MSO community and outside of the MSO community

• Lead a highly functional team able to achieve multiple Operational buildings across the United States

• High understanding of Energy Operations and Business Continuity recovery/planning. Experience in Business Continuity/Resiliency is expected.

• HVAC system / Chill water knowledge spanning all types of Facility operations.

• Electrical UPS architecture and Distribution system comprehension

• Building automation Systems and alarm logic / response planning and process to achieve high levels of Mean time to Mitigate

• Experienced in engaging with and understanding emerging technologies and the ability to apply this to existing technical facilities

• Experience in large capital management to deliver results and an expected IRR

• Knowledge of Broadband network operations and how the Facilities interacts with these networks

Compensation

Primary Location Pay Range: $168,648.05 - $252,972.08

Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience.
