Job Summary
The Supervisor, supports the Sr. Manager and operations in effectively planning and coordinating activities related to the SOC. This role utilizes critical-thinking skills to resolve security and access control requirements and provides support to security personnel, process implementation and improvement, technical configuration, alarm monitoring, training, and critical incident response. The Supervisor ensures consistency in all SOC operations and ensures the appropriate documentation of SOC activities. Exceptional communication and customer service skills are required to effectively support this position.
Job Description
Core Responsibilities
- Assists the day-to-day operations, preparedness, and response of the SOC team.
- Manages and ensures proper training of the assigned personnel.
- Collaborates with the SOC Manager to capture workload and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess SOC activities.
- Assists in conducting internal audits to ensure adherence to established policies and practices, recommending improvements, as necessary.
- Supports the implementation and maintenance of operating procedures and processes for the SOC.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to foster partnership and awareness.
- Contributes to the development of the security strategy and the implementation of security technology initiatives.
- Monitors security systems and technologies within the SOC to identify potential security incidents or breaches.
- Assists in analyzing security events and incidents, contributing to their assessment of severity and potential impact.
- Participates in investigations of security incidents, assisting in gathering evidence, documenting findings, and recommending appropriate actions.
- Supports cross-functional teams in developing and implementing incident response plans, ensuring prompt and effective response to security incidents.
- Utilizes threat intelligence sources to proactively identify emerging threats and vulnerabilities, under the guidance of senior team members.
- Assists in conducting analysis of security logs, alerts, and other data sources to identify patterns, trends, and potential risks.
- Provides input and suggestions for improving security systems, processes, and procedures based on analysis and assessment of security incidents.
- Supports the development and implementation of security awareness and training programs for SOC personnel.
- Contributes to the maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and guidelines for security operations.
- Assists in the creation of security reports, gathering and organizing information for presentation to management and stakeholders.
- Stays informed about the latest security technologies, tools, and best practices to enhance the capabilities of the SOC.
- Collaborates with external partners, such as law enforcement agencies and industry peers, to share information and enhance security posture.
- Seeks guidance and mentorship from the SOC manager and director to foster professional growth and development.
- Performs other duties as assigned by senior team members.

Salary :
Primary Location Pay Range : $80,908.61 - $121,362.91
