What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accessibility Usability Tester position at Comcentia?
We are seeking individuals with lived experiences of various disabilities to participate in usability studies for web products and services. As an Accessibility Usability Tester, you will provide critical insights to help improve the accessibility and inclusivity of our products. This role involves navigating websites and web applications following specific instructions to assess their usability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in usability testing sessions on-site in Bellevue, WA.
- Navigate and evaluate websites/web products based on provided guidelines.
- Provide valuable feedback on usability, accessibility, and overall user experience.
- Highlight areas for improvement to ensure inclusivity for individuals with disabilities.
Preferred Candidate Profiles:
We are specifically seeking individuals with one or more of the following disabilities:
- Visual Impairments:
- Blind (preferably using Braille)
- Partially blind
- Low vision
- Color blindness
- Cognitive Disabilities:
- Dementia, Dyslexia, ADHD, Autism, short-term memory challenges, or similar conditions.

Work Details:
- Location: Bellevue, WA (on-site).
- Work is not continuous; candidates will be called for usability studies as needed, typically once a month or every two months.
- Each study will last approximately 20-40 hours.

- No specific prior experience is required, but familiarity with assistive technologies or accessibility tools is a plus.
- Willingness to work on-site and provide honest, detailed feedback.
- Ability to follow instructions and communicate observations effectively.
