We are seeking Welding Technicians to support the precision fabrication of components for space launch systems using friction stir welding (FSW) and other advanced methods. This hands-on role is ideal for individuals with strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and experience with welding or machine operation in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment.
Location: Huntsville, AL
Shifts Available: A, B, C, and D
Openings: 8 total (distributed across all shifts)
Contract Duration: 6–12 months (potential for extension or conversion to full-time)
Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder who can work on W2.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform welding processes on aluminum, steel, and alloy components using various methods, including friction stir welding (FSW), gas welding, and torch welding
Prepare surfaces for welding through cleaning, sanding, and precision blending using hand and power tools
Interpret and follow engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions to execute high-precision welds
Set up and operate large, motion-controlled welding machines with complex pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
Conduct quality inspections of welds using visual methods and non-destructive evaluation techniques
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of welding machinery and tooling
Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, torque wrenches, and gauges to verify conformance
Monitor and document work to ensure compliance with safety and quality control procedures
Basic Qualifications:
Experience with welding processes, machine operation, or manufacturing in aerospace, automotive, or related industries
Comfortable performing repetitive tasks with high accuracy and quality standards
Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to learn new systems quickly
Comfortable working in a clean, regulated, and team-based environment
Willingness to work any assigned shift (A, B, C, or D)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with friction stir welding (FSW) or automated welding equipment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols
Familiarity with interpreting technical blueprints and specifications
Previous work in aerospace, defense, or precision manufacturing environments
