What are the responsibilities and job description for the Integration Technician position at Comcentric Inc.?
We are seeking a Integration Technicians in Space Coast, FL. This opportunity will start as a 6 month contract with a high possibility extending the contract or converting to an FTE.
3 shifts
- Monday thru Thursday - 5pm to 5am
- Thursday thru Sunday - 5am to 5pm
- Thursday thru Sunday - 5pm to 5am
Responsiblities
- Manufacture, assemble, and test GS1 First Stage Booster according to written procedures.
- Setup new production work areas, including tooling and equipment.
- Assist with transition from development to production, including first articles.
- Perform second party verifications and hardware inspections to engineering models, drawings, specifications, and written procedures.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct malfunctions by modification, rework, repair, and/or maintenance.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurrence control.
- Operate various material handling equipment including forklifts, overhead cranes, aerial lifts, flight vehicle and subassembly transportation equipment, truck-trailer combinations and other ground support equipment as required.
- Setup and operate a wide range of precision calibrated tools including, but not limited to, torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers, laser tracker, height gauges and optical measuring instruments.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement projects for area safety and efficiency.
- Perform routine maintenance functions such as daily clean-up of work areas to support 5S, FOD, and ESD
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing, integration, or another relevant field
- Experience in at least one of the following is required: fluids and tubing install, instrumentation and electrical harness routing, general Aerospace/Launch vehicle assembly.
- Interpret engineering models, drawings, specifications, written work instructions and test procedures.
Desired:
- Industry certification, trade school training and/or degree in related field
- Proven success as a “hands-on” technical leader
- Experience in handling large aerospace components
- Experience in assembling large tight tolerance structures.
- Experience in new product introduction
- Experience in a team-based Lean Manufacturing environment
- Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certification
- Ability to lift heavy items up to 50lbs.
- Military experience
