Primary Purpose
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Demonstrates mastery of skills and extensive subject matter knowledge in carrying out assignments associated with the analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation, and proposed modification to specific technical and leadership training programs. Position may be required to work extended hours for coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.
Primary Duties
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Analyzes and drives personnel performance and recommends training and non-training solutions for performance issues. Designs and develops learning solutions, coordinates with the line organization / business partners, and conducts performance-based technical training programs as required by training program descriptions and in accordance with the systematic approach to training process and department procedures. (35%)
- Prepares and conducts trainee evaluations for classroom, OJT, and simulator environments, as appropriate and recommends / develops discipline-specific training programs. (15%)
- Participates in support activities, i.e. root cause support (ACE, RCIs), line assessment support and management audits. (10%)
- Assures the training programs are maintained current and incorporates information gained from procedure changes and revisions, safety, human performance, new regulations, and training effectiveness reports. (10%)
- Analyzes training needs and designs / develops training for supervisors in accordance with the systematic approach to training process and department procedures. (10%)
- Support line organization in the areas of business initiatives, project management, special projects, and Emergency Preparedness duties including being on-call to potentially support emergent events multiple times a year; if activated, mandatory shifts in a role that assists power restoration will be required. (10%)
- Supervises the collection and maintenance of auditable training records and reports required to document training program activities. (10%)
