What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Data and Reporting Analyst position at Comerica Bank?
The analyst will support the Business Finance team by performing data mining and analysis, developing interactive dashboards, and prepare comprehensive reports. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in SQL, Python, or SAS, coupled with experience using business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau. The analyst should be able to work with limited requirements to create meaningful data summaries in Excel, craft basic PowerPoint presentations, and provide insightful commentary on data trends and analysis results. Financial services experience is preferred but not a required prerequisite for the role.

Position Responsibilities
- Data Mining & Analysis: Extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets using SQL, Python, or SAS to identify trends and insights.
- Business Intelligence & Reporting: Develop interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI or Tableau to support decision-making.
- Excel & PowerPoint Summaries: Create well-structured data summaries in Excel and present insights through PowerPoint presentations.
- Ad Hoc Reporting: Work with limited requirements to generate reports and provide actionable insights.
- Collaboration: Work with business stakeholders to understand data needs and refine reporting outputs
- Quality Control: Ensure data accuracy and integrity in reports and dashboards.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university - experience in STEM or Finance
- 1 year of experience in SQL or Python
- 1 year of experience with Recurring and Ad Hoc reporting on product, customer, or financial performance
- 1 year of experience of Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- 1 years of Business intelligence tool or reporting equivalent
