What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pastry Chef/Baker position at Comet Coffee?
Employee will produce consistent, quality pastries from basic ingredients (flour, butter, sugar, eggs, fresh produce, etc);
receive deliveries and properly put them away;
maintain a clean, organized environment;
follow production schedule as determined by Head Pastry Chef;
uphold and enforce food production health and safety standards;
take orders from customers and exhibit knowledge on baked goods;
use algebra to scale recipes as needed and measure ingredients;
Must be detail-oriented; highly reliable; able to multi-task; able to recognize quality products; willing to work weekends and holidays as needed; able-bodied to be on feet for long periods, lift 50 lb sacks of flour, reach and stoop to use and clean equipment;
