The ideal candidate will provide essential daily living assistance to clients with mobility challenges in the comfort of their homes. This role requires patience, empathy, and a deep commitment to improving the quality of life for those in need of personalized care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Help clients with mobility and transfers using Hoyer Lift equipment.
- Provide medication reminders and assist with light housekeeping duties (laundry, cleaning, etc.).
- Support clients with meal preparation and feeding, adhering to dietary guidelines.
- Accompany clients to appointments and on errands as needed.
- Monitor client’s health and report any significant changes in their condition to healthcare professionals or family members.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the client’s well-being.
- Follow all care plans and safety protocols to ensure client safety.
Requirements:
- Prior experience working as a Home Care Aide, CNA, or similar role.
- Proficiency in using Hoyer Lifts or similar mobility assistance devices.
- Knowledge of personal care techniques, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain a calm and supportive demeanor under pressure.
- Ability to lift and support individuals with mobility challenges.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- CPR/First Aid certification is preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Ability to safely lift and transfer clients, sometimes up to 150 pounds with assistance.
