Responsibilities:
- Patient Care and Assessment: Monitor patients' conditions, assess their needs, and provide the best possible care.
- Symptom Management: Observe and interpret patients' symptoms, communicating to the Executive Director of Patient Care and updating the EMR system.
- Collaboration: Work alongside the entire Interdisciplinary team creating a positive experience of comfort to the patient and family.
- Procedures and Documentation: Perform routine procedures (e.g., blood pressure measurements, administering injections) and maintain accurate patient records.
- Medication Management: Monitor patients' medication needs and convey insights to the Medical Director and Executive Director of Patient Care.
- Supportive Environment: Foster a supportive and compassionate environment for patients and their families.
- Professional Development: Expand knowledge by attending educational workshops, conferences, and online training.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven experience as a registered nurse; one year hospice experience is preferred.
- Education: RN degree from an accredited nursing program.
- License: Active and unencumbered Oregon nursing license.
Skills:
- Excellent knowledge of hospice nursing care methods and procedures.
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines.
- Outstanding communication, interpersonal, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
- Curious, Compassionate, and Resilient with excellent problem-solving skills towards comfort measures.
