Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with developmental disabilities. Your responsibilities will include personal care, companionship, and ensuring the safety and well-being of those you serve. Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health status.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being.
- Support clients with mobility needs, including transferring from bed to wheelchair or assisting with walking.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring that their living space is tidy and free from hazards.
- Document care provided and report any concerns regarding the client’s health or behavior to the appropriate personnel.
- Uphold resident rights by respecting privacy, dignity, and individuality in all interactions.
- Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or other cognitive impairments as needed.
Experience
- Previous experience in senior care or home care is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of first aid and CPR is advantageous; certification may be required.
- Familiarity with medication administration protocols is beneficial.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.
- Understanding of resident rights and commitment to upholding them in all caregiving practices is essential.
- A compassionate demeanor combined with strong communication skills is necessary for building rapport with clients and their families.
