Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in the comfort of their own homes. The ideal candidate will have experience in various healthcare settings, including geriatrics, emergency medicine, and outpatient care. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to adapt to the unique needs of each client.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health status.
- Assist with mobility and transportation needs, ensuring safety during outings or appointments.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, including light housekeeping tasks.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals regarding care plans and client progress.
- Document care provided and report any concerns or changes in client condition promptly.
Requirements
- Previous experience in caregiving or related healthcare fields such as PICU, Level I Trauma Center, OR, geriatrics, hospital medicine, teaching hospital, emergency medicine, or clinic settings is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and understanding of patient care protocols.
- Ability to work independently while also being a part of a larger healthcare team.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic.
- CPR certification and first aid training are advantageous but not mandatory at the time of hiring; training will be provided if necessary.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
