Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide essential support to clients in their homes. This role involves assisting clients with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and fostering a comfortable environment.
Duties
- Provide personal care services such as bathing, grooming, and dressing assistance.
- Assist clients with mobility and physical activities to promote independence.
- Monitor and document clients' health status, reporting any changes to family members or healthcare professionals.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding when necessary.
- Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper medication management.
- Engage clients in social activities to enhance emotional well-being.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams, including outpatient services and emergency medicine professionals, to ensure comprehensive care.
Requirements
- Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as geriatrics or inpatient care is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with healthcare settings such as Level II Trauma Centers or clinics is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare providers.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with caregiving, including lifting and assisting clients as needed.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others maintain their dignity and independence.
- Certification in CPR/First Aid is preferred but not required; training may be provided.
