Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Nutritionist to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' nutritional needs through diagnostic evaluations.
- Develop individualized care plans that address specific dietary requirements and health goals.
- Supervise the dietary department staff to ensure adherence to nutritional guidelines and protocols.
- Provide education on nutrition, weight loss strategies, and healthy eating habits to patients and their families.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, making adjustments to care plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with medical teams to integrate nutrition into overall patient care strategies.
- Manage tube feeding protocols for patients requiring specialized nutritional support.
- Stay updated on the latest research in nutrition and dietary systems to provide evidence-based recommendations.
Experience
- A degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field is required.
- Previous experience working in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of physiology and its impact on nutrition is essential.
- Experience in supervising staff within a dietary department is advantageous.
- Familiarity with weight loss programs and dietary management systems is beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills for educating patients on nutritional practices.
- Must be CMS registered (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services)
