Job Summary
A local non profit is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping Clerk to join our small team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the flow of goods in and out of our warehouse, ensuring that all shipments are processed accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have experience in shipping and distribution center operations, with a strong focus on order accuracy and inventory management.
Responsibilities
- Work with operations to make a Weekly Shipping Plan based on incoming orders and annual goals. Discuss inventory needs and priority of order queue.
- Prepare the cases for each order. Manage volunteers to help prepare the cases and boxes for shipping. Maintain high quality control with volunteers.
- Monitor outstanding agency Shipping Invoices. Keep a log of pending payments for shipping invoices. Check with Accounts Assistant for payments.
- Prep for large invents and maintain events tracker with operations team.
- Unload shipments.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow processes in shipping and receiving operations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a shipping and receiving role.
- Familiarity with order picking processes and warehouse operations.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills to interact with team members and management effectively.
- Must be able to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) as required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.50 - $22.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
