SUMMARY: Prioritize, direct, supervise and train Service Technicians and support staff. Heavy focus on customer service and delivery of product/service.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare invoices time sheets and proposals
- Planning and management in the safe and efficient servicing of new and existing HVAC equipment, components and systems.
- Establish departmental development plans, policies and procedures to ensure the Company fulfills its obligations for preventative maintenance agreements, service repairs and equipment replacement.
- Responsible for meeting revenue and gross profit goals while assuring the work is completed on time and to the clients' satisfaction.
- Instructs others with regard to using the pricing policy.
- Responsible for effectively developing, maintaining and reporting service department plans, work in-progress, service revenue forecasts and budgets, see that all local and state codes are properly met, and actively promote the sale of replacement units, as well as, service and preventative maintenance warranty's.
- Responsible for working closely with other departments to ensure the proper transfer of all service work business data required for payroll, billing, accounts payable, vehicle management, and human resource management functions.
- Directly supervises, manages and develops all Service Department staff.
- Responsible for hiring, terminating and disciplining of employees, employee scheduling, setting work priorities, and conducting departmental meetings, counseling and training employees, evaluating performance and directing work assignments to ensure effective client and company objectives.
- Oversee the daily operation of the service department
- Mentor and supervise the service field staff and process all paperwork as required.
- Review service tickets daily to ensure accuracy and that tasks were completed in a manner that achieves customer satisfaction and company profitability
- Review the work schedule daily with the dispatcher
- Work with purchasing to monitor parts call to make sure parts are ordered, received and scheduled in a timely manner.
- Ensure trucks maintain adequate inventory and warranty parts are returned.
- Keep up to date on new developments and trends in the industry.
- Approve time sheets on a weekly basis.
- Establish and review on call schedule on a monthly basis.
- Resolve customer complaints and disputes.
- Monitor profitability of the department.
- Maintain good working relationships with home warranty companies by adhering to average tickets and quality expectations.
- Follow up on price ups to customers for additional work as needed.
Salary : $80,000 - $150,000
