Entry Level HVAC Install/Startup Technician

Position Summary:

The Commercial Controls Install Helper is responsible for assisting in installing, configuring, troubleshooting, repairing and programming for DDC building automation systems.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid driver license and clean driving record, insurable by company insurance
• Desire to advance in career through apprenticeship program or on-the-job training
• Ability to work well independently or as a team
• Ability to lift, push or pull up to 100 lbs.

• Ability to work out of town when necessary
• Ability to work outside in a wide range of temperatures
• Energetic personality
• Pride in workmanship
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen

Qualifications desired:

• Minimum High School diploma, GED or equivalent
• 1 years previous HVAC Installation experience
• EPA Certification

• Ability to solve practical problems dealing with a variety of variables in situations where limited standardization exists
• Basic written and verbal English language skills

Essential functions and responsibilities:

• Responsible for end to end testing, downloading programming, starting up, commissioning and servicing on assigned projects
• Coordinates with team leader and customer to understand requirements for all on-site installation and repairs

• Keep current on products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service and repair
• Continually enforce safety to the highest standards
• Conducts preventive maintenance, installation, commissioning, performs function performance test, diagnoses and repairs complex control systems
