Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable, compassionate, and proactive Direct Support Professional to provide personalized care to individuals with developmental disabilities. As a valued member of our team, you will help clients achieve independence, maintain dignity, and improve their overall quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with daily living tasks, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication reminders.
- Foster independence by encouraging skill development and self-reliance.
- Monitor and document client progress, behavior, and well-being.
- Engage clients in recreational activities and facilitate community outings.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and team members to deliver holistic care.
Qualifications
Required: Dedication to providing compassionate care and fostering a supportive environment.
Preferred:
- Previous experience in caregiving, patient monitoring, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Knowledge of home health services and developmental disabilities.
- Ability to cook simple, nutritious meals and maintain a clean, safe living space.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Dependability and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Schedule
- Monday through Friday 6a-8a and Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 3p-6p
- Flexible shifts available, including full-time, part-time, and weekends.
