Job Description
As a Personal Support Specialist (PSS) at Comfort Home Care, LLC, you will be responsible for assisting clients with various tasks to promote their well-being and independence in the comfort of their homes. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Personal Care Assistance: Help clients with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility.
- Meal Assistance: Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring nutritional needs are met.
- Light Housekeeping: Perform light cleaning tasks such as laundry, dusting, and organizing.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, fostering a positive and supportive environment.
- Medication Reminders: Remind clients to take medications as prescribed, and ensure they are following proper routines.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Observe and report any changes in the client’s condition to the supervisor or healthcare team.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Personal Support Specialist certification (PSS) or completion of relevant training (preferred).
- Previous experience in home care, healthcare, or a related field is a plus.
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable with a passion for helping others.
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must pass a background check.
