We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Support Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals in their homes. This position requires a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients through direct support and assistance with daily living activities.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to clients in their daily activities, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Assist with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Help clients with mobility and heavy lifting as needed.
- Monitor and record vital signs to ensure the health and well-being of clients.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment for clients, promoting hygiene and safety standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop personalized care plans tailored to each client's needs.
- Engage clients in social activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Document all interactions and changes in client condition accurately in accordance with company policies.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in long-term care, hospice care, home care, or group home settings is preferred.
- Strong ability to lift and assist clients with mobility challenges.
- Knowledge of vital signs monitoring is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach towards client care.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and demonstrate a strong work ethic.
- Certification in direct support or related fields is advantageous but not required.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.53 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week
