What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeper position at Comfort Inn and Suites by Choice Hotels?
Your day-to-day….
1. You’ll make sure our rooms are always noticeably clean, special, and memorable for guests.
2. Smile, warmly greet and help guests as though they are guests in your home.
3. Keep your supervisor updated on repairs needed or other guest room concerns.
4. Work safely at all times – and wear protective gloves, belts, and eyewear when needed.
5. Use cleaning & laundry chemicals according to instructions.
6. Keep storerooms, carts, and laundry room clean, tidy, and well-stocked.
7. Work efficiently to assure your job duties are completed within the time allotted.
8. Guests often leave something behind. When you find items, turn them in to your supervisor.
9. Look sharp…well-groomed and wear your uniform with pride as a hotel ambassador.
10. Work as part of a team to ensure excellent quality and service.
11. May regularly assist with deep cleaning projects or doing laundry.
12. May regularly assist with cleaning indoor and outdoor public and staff areas of the hotel.
13. Assist with other duties as assigned.
What else the job requires from you?
1. It’s a physical job and you’ll be on your feet most of the day with repetitive motions.
2. Occasional lifting of heavy items and or push/pulling heavy objects.
3. You’ll need to frequently bend and kneel to complete some activities.
4. Flexible attitude to shifts – you will need to work weekends and/or holidays.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
