We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Breakfast Attendant to join our hospitality team. As a Breakfast Attendant, you will ensure that the breakfast area is clean, well-stocked, and inviting while delivering outstanding service to all guests.
Responsibilities
- Arrive to work on time, and be prepared to start shift.
- Wear cleaned and pressed hotel uniform at all times, to include name badge.
- Prepare and set up the breakfast area according to hotel standards.
- Cook and serve breakfast items, ensuring quality and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas.
- Monitor food inventory levels and restock supplies as needed.
- Assist guests with their breakfast needs, providing friendly and attentive service.
- Handle food safely in accordance with health regulations.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with other hotel staff to ensure a seamless dining experience.
- Responsible for overseeing and preparing the franchise-defined Hotel Guest Breakfast while providing a positive customer-friendly atmosphere.
- Checks and maintains temperature log for refrigerators and freezers in the Kitchen and The Market.
- Complete all brand or state required trainings.
- Cleans breakfast lounge before guests arrive.
- Makes coffee and keeps readily available for guests at all times.
- Sets out all food and beverage items according to brand standards.
- Sets out napkins, silverware and dishes, ensuring that all items are clean.
- Welcomes and serves guests with a positive, customer-friendly attitude.
- Cleans tables after a guest’s use based on sanitation standards.
- Close kitchen-remove all food items from breakfast area, wash dishes, put all food in refrigerator properly wrapped and sealed.
- Mop kitchen floor, breakfast area, lobby area, business center, vacuum breakfast lounge and first floor carpet. Clean up spills that occurred that day.
- Receives and dates all food items---FIFO.
- Notifies General Manager of food and beverage items to be ordered for the week.
- Maintains a daily running inventory.
- Empties breakfast trash, ice machine trash, outside entrances trash and take the trash to the dumpster.
- Make sure to clean the public restroom twice daily
- Make sure to clean all public area including but not limited too Public restroom, business center, guests' laundry, pool, fittness center, Hallways, Ice machine area, Stairs.
- Maintains proper sanitary personal hygiene, washing hands before handling food and/or clean dishes.
- Coordinate with other departments to fulfill guest special requests.
- Answer guest questions regarding local area facilities.
- Responsible for maintaining hotel key security system.
- Know hotel emergency procedures and be prepared to carry out.
- Read and communicate through the logbook daily.
- Notify housekeeping and/or maintenance of any reported problems with rooms or grounds.
- Any reasonable request by management that you are capable of performing.
- Any tasks assigned by manager or member of management.
Skills
- Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is preferred.
- Strong cooking skills with knowledge of food handling practices.
- Excellent guest relations skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining quality standards.
