What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part Time Weekends Room Attendant/Housekeeping position at Comfort Inn & Suites/Holiday Inn Express?
We are hiring for Part Time positions, weekends required. This can lead to Full Time as we get busier. Only applicants with a steady work history and the willingness to work hard with good attendance will be considered for this position. Schedule varies.
Room attendants should promote a positive image of the property to guests and must be pleasant, honest, friendly and should also be able to address guest requests and problems
ATTENTION TO DETAIL
PREREQUISITES:
Physical mobility and stamina required, Ability to follow instruction, Detail-oriented, Professional attitude, Ability to work independently
Responsible for following the standard operating procedures
- Enters and prepares the room for cleaning
- Remove dirty bed linen and make up bed with clean linen
- Clean closets and door tracks on check-out rooms. Ensure correct amount and placement of hangers, extra blanket/pillows,and replace laundry bags .
- Dust and polish all furniture
- Empty trash containers.
- Remove/Replace Linens
- Cleans guest bathroom/bedroom/floor corridor .
- Remove soil, dirt, soap build-up and hair from bathroom mirrors, vanity, sink, toilet, shower walls, bathtub, shower curtain and floor.
- Replenishes guestroom and bathroom supplies in correct amount and location
- Perform rotation cleaning duties (e.g. steam clean carpets, spring cleaning, super cleaning etc.) as required
- Vacuums the carpet.
- Ensure the security of guest rooms and the privacy of guests
- Checks and secures the rooms
· Respond to guest complaints, special requests and take action to ensure guest satisfaction
- Monitor and control supplies and amenities and minimize waste within all areas of housekeeping
- · Work as part of a team and communicate with other departments as per hotel procedures to ensure excellent quality and service
We are hiring not only for room attendants/housekeepers, but also looking for a leader, the Executive housekeeping position.
