ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Approaches all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
- Sort soiled linens wearing gloves.
- Loads washers with soiled linens.
- Unloads washers with clean, wet linen.
- Loads dryers with clean, wet linen.
- Adjusts washer & dryers for proper settings.
- Folds and stores clean dry towels, washcloths, sheets, pillowcases, napkins, and tablecloths.
- Refills/replenishes laundry chemicals.
- Measures laundry chemicals as required.
- Issues towels, linen, and service towels/rags as required.
- Cleans and removes lint from filters daily, or more frequently if required.
- Sweeps floor after sorting linens, or as needed.
- Maintains a clean and orderly work area and storage areas.
- Removes stained and damaged items from inventory.
- Reports faulty equipment, maintenance needs, safety hazards, and problems to the supervisor.
- Completes maintenance requisitions as required.
- Reports all “lost and found” items according to the standards established.
- Any other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- Speak with others using clear and professional language; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
- Must be proficient in Windows operating systems company-approved spreadsheets and word processing.
- Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others.
- Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager.
- Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain the confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.
EDUCATION: High school diploma
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand; use hands, and reach with hands and arms.
- The employee is frequently required to walk, climb or balance stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
- The employee must regularly lift/push/pull and/or move up to 50 pounds
