Job Summary
The Laundry Attendant plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of linens, towels, and garments within our establishment. Duties
- Launder hotel linens, towels, and guest garments using appropriate washing and drying techniques.
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and store laundry items efficiently.
- Operate washing machines, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area.
- Perform dry cleaning tasks as needed for special garments or items.
- Inspect all laundry items for stains or damage before processing.
- Report any maintenance issues with laundry equipment to management promptly.
- Adhere to safety protocols and health regulations while performing duties.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role within a hotel or similar environment is required.
- Knowledge of laundering techniques and fabric care is a plus.
- Ability to operate commercial laundry equipment safely.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and quality.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Must be able to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods.
