The Maintenance Technician will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and functionality of our facilities.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of buildings, equipment, and systems to identify maintenance needs.
- Perform repairs on machinery, electrical systems, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters to diagnose electrical issues and ensure proper functionality.
- Fabricate parts as necessary to support maintenance operations.
- Read and interpret schematics for troubleshooting and repair purposes.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Lead small teams during maintenance projects, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Assist with residential painting tasks when required to maintain aesthetic standards.
- Operate logic controllers for automated systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance schedules and minimize downtime.
Skills
- Proficient mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in facilities maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics for effective troubleshooting.
- Experience with ohmmeters and other diagnostic tools for electrical work.
- Strong leadership skills to manage small teams during projects.
- Capability to fabricate parts or components as needed for repairs.
- Familiarity with logic controllers and their operation in automated systems.
- Knowledge of welding techniques for various repair tasks is a plus.
- Experience in residential painting is desirable but not mandatory.
